Mickey Shaw – Agent
After successful careers in Grocery Store Operations and IT Management through 2002, I joined Costlow Insurance. I successfully transitioned the knowledge and skills learned from the computer industry. It has helped me streamline operations and promote excellent customer service. Now as an Owner/Director I strive every day to provide the best customer value Costlow Insurance can produce. I currently hold Insurance Licenses for Property & Casualty and Life & Health.

Alan Orshalick – Agent
As an Owner/Operator of several businesses since 1972, and a subsequent successful career in the corporate world in sales and sales management, I joined Costlow Insurance in 2004. My expertise in sales and marketing allows for great customer interface, providing informative promotional data for our prospects and clients alike. Now as an Owner/Director of Costlow Insurance, I find it my duty to use my Property and Casualty License to inform others about their best possible insurance values. 

Chuck Allums – Agent
After years in the corporate world, I decided to get back to the basics of value and service to my clients. The personal relationship and trust that is built between my clients and me is very fulfilling and makes them mean more to our business than just being a number. Since 2004, and now as an Owner/Director of Costlow Insurance, I use my Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance Licenses to build long-term relationships. It’s important to me that our customers receive the value they deserve. 

Debbie Simonek – Agent
I have been with Costlow Insurance since 2006 as a Licensed Property & Casualty Agent and Customer Service Representative. My primary concerns are to assist customers and help the office run smoothly every day. I utilize my past experiences as an Owner/Operator of 2 successful businesses, and as a member of a financial team in Pennsylvania Government to bring my customer service expertise to Texas families and provide superior customer relations. 

Lance Lankford – Agent
The insurance industry has become part of my life. I’ve spent the last 15 years as an All Lines Adjuster, and to this day still hold that Insurance License. When you learn the insurance business from the ground up solving claims and helping people in the field, you gain a personal understanding of what is important. With my tremendous knowledge of problem solving, I joined Costlow Insurance as an agent in 2007. My Property & Casualty License lets me help others to the best of my ability. 

Chris Black – Agent
Managing and marketing for a Children’s Book Wholesaler for 10 years in the corporate world provided me with invaluable insight about how we as parents interface with our children. Patience and attention to detail became my hallmark qualities. I wanted to do more to help people directly so in 2003 I became licensed in insurance with my Property & Casualty and Life & Health Licenses. After working with Allstate Insurance as an agent till 2006, I joined Costlow Insurance to become a multi-line agent.   

Juli Howk – Agent
I have worked in the insurance industry for 10+years. I have worked with standard and non-standard insurance carriers as a Licensed Property & Casualty Agent and Customer Service Representative. I joined the Costlow Insurance team in 2009 and look forward to many more years with this great independent insurance agency. I’m also really enjoying assisting all our customers with their insurance needs.

Jack Thompson – Agent (Posthumously)
I have been a Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent for the last 40 years with offices in Garland, Richardson, Plano and Rowlett, Texas. I’ve sold all forms of property & casualty insurance. As an Owner/Operator of several successful Insurance Agencies, I joined Costlow Insurance in 2005 because I believe they offer a very personal approach to insurance. Over the years I have developed a great deal of expertise in Commercial/Business Insurance and it is what I specialize in today. 

Herschel Costlow – Agent (Part-time)
I became an insurance agent in 1962. I started writing property and casualty insurance in 1972. As a Licensed Property & Casualty Agent in the Dallas, Texas area I organized Germania Local Chapter # 352 in 1981, and founded the Costlow Insurance Agency that same year. Over time I’ve gained the trust of many of our thousands of customers and finally relinquished ownership of my agency in 2002. I remain an active part of Costlow Insurance today.  

Janice Orshalick – Marketing
My previous work history as a Loan Originator/Officer in the Mortgage Industry for over 10 years gives me a unique insight into the purchase of a home. That experience allows me to inform other mortgage originators in Texas of the great value and service Costlow Insurance offers through its many insurance carriers. As I speak to prospects and clients alike, it comforts me to know that The Costlow Insurance Group are all licensed insurance agents. Immediate service, and great value is our goal.
